Life's End

Red Rose Bar

Soft cunning whispers bloom forth within the night
Lying among the thistles and thorns
Where the rose petals grow black and die
Hidden far from the light
Red Rose Bar
Where loves bitterness grows cold
In the rocky shards of life’s lies and dying goals
Slipping down into the cracks
So far from the light
Red Rose Bar
Loves beauties long gone now fading and old
Just faint memories of dreams once begun
Fingers snarled and stilled
Torn from life’s tender songs
Red Rose Bar
As my heart no longer bleeds from
Youthful wishes and dreams
As beats fade within existence’s last light
Swept away on one last vanishing sigh
