and the glow of a dying day.

Or is it rather a birth
we should be celebrating?

What time is it?
I left my watch in last June.
Let’s just say it’s time
for a birth, shall we?
This calls for champagne.

But…in a minute. For now,
just cup me like you did
your glass, warm me
and erase my chill.
Brush my trembling
beneath your carpet.

Everyone smiles at a birth.

This is deep, on so many levels. I love the hint of erotica in it without being explicit. Poetry is so much more sensual and appealing to read when you don't just spell everything out. The flow and wording of this piece is beautiful. Kudos.
