Eight Tears


one tear for me
one tear for you
one tear for our love
you said it was sent from God above

one tear for what was
one tear for what might have been
one tear for undying love
you said our love would last an eternity

one tear for what never will be
one last tear as I turn to leave
with my broken heart in tow
feeling like my end has come today
