running ninety to nothing
going nowhere fast
you’re sitting beside the road slap out of gas
rolling on bye; I’m looking at you
you made the decision; now we’re through
leaving you standing there, you think you're so cool

running ninety to nothing
standing on the gas
holding out your thumb
as I roll on past
you played your cold wicked games
I wouldn’t stop, if your car was in flames
As you stand there and wipe away that drool

running ninety to nothing
out you stepped
trying to flag me down
right over you I go
heading on into town
thinking of you, wearing an upside down frown

running ninety to nothing
one more time running over you
while I go on down the road
driving like I never saw the fool
