And Then



as my tears spill forth in never ending speed
and you were there

as my heart was broken in calloused fair
and you took my hand

as my faith grew faint and weak
and you whispered to me

as my darkness seemed never ending
and you gave me hope

as my heart found love again
and you were gone

and my heart grew weak
and alone

and finally it lay cold as stone
