Silent Predator

Stress, an invisible devil, at one time or another makes it's presence known to us all
This invisible nemesis, can even make one die
When this thing attacks us, we should all hold our heads up, being able to walk tall
Pressure, a ton on one's shoulders, knowing it is stress, but still we question why.

This invisible force, can bring down the strongest of men
It can bring one to their knees, a lot of us even cry
Releasing emotions that came from stress's very den
Causing one's emotions in knots to be tied.

This thing doesn't care who it chooses to be a victim
It silently haunts us, as it sits back and at us it laughs
When stress takes hold, one's future can looks mighty dim
This silent predator can make one seem daft.

When this thing hits us, it we should totally ignore
But that is easier said than done, as our emotions go wild
On stress we should always close the door
The only place for this thing, is the garbage, and here stress we should file.

From this thing there is no easy escape, even though from it we should run away
This thing has a tendency to needle it's way into one's very soul
Most of us have to deal with this thing each and every day
But until it wins, it hasn't achieved it's goal

Then there are people like me, people with an illness in which stress could cause our death
A stroke, a heart attack, and most people don't even care
That them causing the stress, people like me could be driven to take their last breath
So for everyone, especially those like me the stress, always be on guard and beware.
