Trilogy of Terror
The twin brothers glistened in the New York sun before tragedy hit that day
No one knew soon there would be intense oblivion, chaos, and darkness
One man's hatred made us relinquish to a sick twisted game we did not wish to play
The fire, the devastation, and the death to all this one man would confess.
A trilogy of terror was released that day hatred, devastation, and death
The towers, the pentagon, all the hurt, the sadness, and the pain
So many died not knowing what happened or why as they took their last breath
Like a pyroclastic cloud, suffocation for most then death from this sick act
what was gained?
Nothing was gained, but the question remains why did so many have to perish that faithful awful day
The awful question of why forever branded in our history
So much hatred. I am sure like me, you weren't raised that way
To inflict such pain and agony, a never ending story.
Was the release of such hatred an outlet for the one that obtained the guilt?
Was there some lesson to be learned from that day?
No suspicions from those that went away, just like a flower as it wilts
I know of no evil that was committed but look at the price we had to pay.
That day made us do the opposite of what we were expected to do
The trilogy of terror was very real and made itself well known
We all remember, we will never forget, no need for a review
United and a proud nation we will always be, from this horrid experience , being careful to survive all the devastating seeds we have sewn.
The Field
A field of wild flowers, weeds, and grass
Stood in between a tragedy waiting to happen
The plane, the crash, the death, a field the obstacle that stood in the way of killing in the masses
The loss of life in that crash, those brave children women, and men.
The brave ones that risked their life so others could live and breathe
No idea where they were destined to go, bravely they caused the plane to crash land
Not knowing how much they saved from this life they choose to leave
I can just imagine," Let's roll!" and each one taking another by the hand.
A big field that probably promotes cows, horses, and things
Stopped a major devastation started by a mad man
Terrorism to this I do not wish to cling
Devastation and death ran rampant that day through out the land.
So we need to pay tribute to those brave souls
They gave the ultimate they had to give
Giving their lives so the bad ones cold not achieve their goal
Making sure that plane went down so others may live.
Just a field, something that simple stood in the way
Of an awful act, so unthinkable, totally evil and bad
They took it upon themselves to end a terrible act without delay
We will always have respect, we will always remember, but for those brave souls that died that day we shall also be sad.
