Inside the Darkness
lying in darkness on my side
pulling my pillow close
each night the tears start to fall
in heavy silence I hear each tear beating my bed
rolling over laying on my back
I feel the sharp pain of a knife stabbing deep within
as my heart breaks
lying here I pray for death
in darkness I stare with eyes closed
I feel your anger
as you place it on my chest
hoping its heavy weight I soon cease to breath
now I pray each night
that some day soon I cease to be
