Coming Closer
Darkness slithers closer eating
What’s left of me
No longer holding sweet memories
Hold on to the darkness waiting
For death to close my eyes
So they no longer weep
The tears that I cry
Darkness comes closer
Covering me
Slowly taking the breathe that I breath
No longer sweet thoughts
Fill my head
As I lay dying
In this puddle of red
Darkness has entered
This body of mine
Slowly taking this life
Lying cold and black
In this pool called blood
Decaying flesh, rotting away
Soon I’ll consume you the same way
