I hear you talk but my mind is deaf
Days I hear you calling me
But not a sound your lips have made
I cry with eyes which cannot see

And with my eyes still closed
I see your hurt deep inside
Even though you are miles away
I feel you through the tears I've cried

I sense it as you raise a gentle hand
To brush away despairing sighs
Gentle fingertips brush away my tears
As they fall from my eyes

Though I know I cannot see you
One day when my crying clears
I will feel your love always there
As it washes away my fears
